Oscar Calvo is the director and founder of Avepto, a Geneva-based firm that manages day-to-day IT for Swiss SMEs. He built the company around automating repetitive tasks, continuous monitoring of systems and incident prevention.

Before founding Avepto, Oscar held several technical and operational IT roles. He led IT for an international sports federation and administered networks for a logistics consulting firm.

His background spans system administration, networks, operational cybersecurity, Windows Server environments, VPN deployment, network segmentation, backups, disaster recovery, VoIP, virtualised infrastructure and IT process documentation.

Convinced that modern IT must be reliable, reproducible and mastered, Oscar runs Avepto on a foundation of industrialised operations, incident prevention, and a constant standard of quality in how infrastructure is designed and operated.

Conviction

IT should not be improvised: everything follows a standard, and when we fix something, we fix it everywhere, at once. And when you don’t hear from us, it means everything is running fine.
