Method

## How a study is written.

The situation What happened, in the order it happened, including what the team did on its own before we arrived.

The choices The technical options taken and those set aside, with the reason. A solution is also understood by what it rules out.

The figures Every figure comes from the intervention timeline or from a measurement taken before and after. Without a measurement, the result is described without a figure. An observation or an analysis carries a lesson, not a result.

Validation and sources A client or a partner reads the text, corrects what needs correcting and chooses to be named or anonymised. An audit observation is anonymised and dated. An analysis cites its public sources at the end of the study.

### Are Avepto’s case studies validated by the clients?

Yes. Every client study and every intervention is read by the company concerned before publication; it corrects what it wishes and decides whether it is named or anonymised. Quotes are reproduced as they were sent to us, and a quote still awaiting approval does not appear. An audit observation is anonymised and dated, an analysis cites its public sources.

### Are all the studies about Avepto clients?

No. Four kinds of entry live together: the client study, the intervention at a company that called us without being a client, the observation made during an audit and the analysis of a public incident. The label on each card says which one you are reading, and the At a glance band states whether the company is named or anonymised.

### Where do the figures in Avepto’s studies come from?

From the tickets, logs and timestamps of the intervention, or from a measurement taken before and after, such as the time it takes to prepare a workstation on the ai4 Architecture fleet. The company concerned reads those figures along with the rest of the text. When nothing was measured, the study describes the result without inventing one.

### Can I contact an Avepto client quoted as a reference?

Yes, on request and with the prior agreement of the client concerned. Write to us from the contact page with your sector and your question: we arrange the introduction. Anonymised companies are not put in contact, out of respect for their choice.

### Are the case studies all set in Geneva?

Not all of them. Pain Fromage Studio is in Lausanne and ai4 Architecture works between Geneva, Lausanne and Porto. Avepto works across French-speaking Switzerland, Vaud, Fribourg, Neuchâtel and Valais included, from its office in Satigny, and comes on site when the situation calls for it.
